Note from Jim

Thank you performers and parents for your continued decication to "Annie". Yesterday's rehearsal was very helpful to me in seeing what we need to work on, and what is in pretty good shape. After today's dance review I'll have a much better idea of what we need to work on during our problem spots week. I will work to give you as much advanced notice as I can regarding when you need to be at rehearsal that week... it will be at least a day in advance. A few things you can assume will be worked on is any scene/number that has not been blocked/choreographed. Until then, please assume you will be needed and plan to be at each rehearsal that week.
For those who did not hear, our set designer quit recently and left us with basically no plans. My thanks to my assistant directors, stage manager, technical director, and the many peple who came in last Saturday to help create a plan for the set design and begin implementing that plan. We got a lot done, despite our challenges. This coming Saturday we will continue to work on the set, and have a better idea now of where we are headed. Please come and help if you have the time. We will be in the theatre from 10:00-4:00 at the earliest, possibly as late as 6:00.
Working with so many schedules and needs, it can be a huge challenge to use time as effectively as possible for everyone involved (and not keep the little ones up too late). In the end, the goal has not changed however: to create an amazing experience for everyone involved and to foster a love for the theatre. Thank you for your continued patience and for all the work you are doing to help acheive this goal. It is very much appreciated. And while I'm thanking people, a huge thank you to Kathy our lead parent who continues to field your questions so that I can keep my focus on the show as a whole. I'll see many of you today at the dance review. Everyone else, please keep checking here daily. We will continue to endeavor to give you the information you need as quickly as possible.
